In 2008 Ace will release three new books with three more slated for release in 2009 and two more in 2010. Along with his numerous radio/TV appearances and speaking engagements Collins’ schedule is full for the near future. Yet this best-selling author is still looking for more projects to fit into his calendar. Ace’s first release of 2008 is “Stories Behind Women of Extraordinary Faith.” This work will be followed by a companion book in 2009, “Stories Behind Heroes of Faith.” The “Stories Behind” books have been a staple of Ace’s work for several years going back to “The Stories Behind The Best-Loved Songs of Christmas,” released in 2001 and still selling strong seven years later. This first Christmas book was followed by another best seller, “The Stories Behind The Great Traditions of Christmas,” which not only topped the charts, but has now been translated and released in China. “More Stories Behind The Best-Loved Songs of Christmas” is the most recent holiday offering, issued in 2007. This trio of Yule Tide favorites have combined for 31 hardcover printings, more than 400,000 units in book sales and are now available in a special box set. Other books in this series include “Stories Behind Hymns That Have Inspired America,” “Stories Behind The Songs and Traditions of Easter” and “Untold Gold - The Stories Behind Elvis's #1 Hits.” The latter was a hit in the U.S. and the U.K and is being considered for a TV special in 2009. Ace’s first novel, “Farraday Road” will be released in August. This mystery-action adventure will jump-start a series of books based on the exploits of a champion of justice, Arkansas lawyer Lije Evans. Collins is currently developing two other fiction series for release in the years to come. This fall Zondervan releases a book that Ace had wanted to write for more than a decade. “Sticks & Stones – Using Your Words As A Powerful Force!” allows the author to share the stories of some of the most incredible people he has met in his career. These are people who make a real impact on others. At the heart of this book is this thought, “We all use 30,000 words a day, it’s time we make some of them really count for something special!” |
