Various headshots taken during different times in Harlow's career.
Below are nine shot taken during the filming of Jean's next to last movie, Personal Property. These shots feature her co-star Robert Taylor.
The actress loved cars and enjoyed driving them. She owned several in her life and the Packard in the eighth photo is still around. I would like to find the Auburn Boattail Speester in the ninth photo.
Jean Harlow was never photographed in color (though there are a few bits of early color work in film in Hell's Angel). Still many talented artists have combined their skills and old photographic images of the star to give us idea as to how she really appeared in person.
Jean Harlow told reporters she loved outdoor activities such as golf, tennis, fishing and swimming. The studio made sure their photographers captured lots of images of their star living out her interests. Making six films a year, it is doubful that she much spare time to actually enjoy them in real life.
Jean Harlow made six films with movie star king Clark Gable. Along with William Powell and Myrna Loy, the pair were probably the hottest duos of the 1930s. Thousands of photos of Harlow and Gable were taken. Here are a few of those images.
